About Metis

Metis is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution based on Optimistic Rollup technology. It distinguishes itself by pioneering a decentralised sequencer model, aiming to eliminate single-point-of-failure risks common in other L2s. Metis supports general-purpose smart contracts, offers low-cost transactions, and provides native storage via MEMO Labs integration. The network targets DeFi, gaming, and enterprise applications with near-instant transaction confirmations and EVM compatibility.
